Alice found herself at a big dining table, having dinner with the Queen. The royal dinner had everything - champagne grapes and vine tomatoes, burgundy sauces and sauteed kebobs, sushi rolls and salmon sandwiches. And ... frogs.. some of whom looked alive!
Having lost her appetite, Alice decided to make conversation with the Queen instead.
Alice: Your majesty, the Queen, I always imagined a palace to be a fun place. With plush couches, soft velvet cushions, embroidered window panes, carved big doors.. but here, I hardly see any of that. Everything seems to be big and hard, there are guards everywhere carrying weapons of all sorts, they jump at anything that moves and create such a ruckus.
Queen: It is for security reasons.
Alice: And why do you need so much security.
Queen: When you make rules in Wonderland, you always make someone mad. And in time, you make everyone mad. You have no friends left. Only subjects who want to get rid of you at the first opportunity they get.
Alice: I am sorry to hear that. But you are such a nice queen. They should be proud of you.
Queen: When I was a princess, they liked me. I loved them too. But, then of course, it was before I started making the rules.
Alice: So do you regret being a queen?
Queen: There are some great benefits. I get to make Wonderland exactly as I like it!

Light reflections
Alice: Your reflections are rather difficult to understand. I wish I could talk to someone who spoke less complex things. It would be more fun, I think.
Caterpillar: I think deeply. If you want light reflections, you should talk to the pond who lives over the hill and under the bridge.
Alice: I will go to the pond right away!
Alice goes to the pond.
Alice: Hello, Pond! I hear you do light conversations. How I would love to have someone to talk to. All the little things that are always so much more important.
Pond: I do not do light conversations. In fact, I am very busy. I have so much to do!
Alice: But the caterpillar said you do light reflections. I am sorry, I thought you would love to talk. You know, I have all these very curious things happening all day. I wish I could talk to someone.
Pond: Ah! He said light reflections, not light conversations. That I do. I do it all day and all night. I have to reflect all the images of the trees and shrubs and sky, the sun, and the birds - they are so difficult. They won't stand still. I have to keep my palette of colors always up to date. You never know who might show up and want to see a reflection. If you come close and look down at me, I could do a reflection of you too!

Right to Spend
Alice: So do you have a bill of citizen's rights?
Caterpillar: Of course we do. Like the Right to Spend.
A: Right to Spend?
C: Every citizen has a right to spend at least $1000 a month.
A: And what if someone doesn't have it?
C: That is impossible. They all get a thousand dollars a month from the treasury.
A: But for what?
C: So they can fulfill their Right to Spend, of course!
A: Where I come from, you have to work to get paid.
C: That is because you don't have a Right to Spend.
A: But then why would anyone work?
C: If they want to spend more than a thousand dollar, they have to work and earn it.
C: We should also talk about Rights that have been done away
with.
A: What?
C: For example, the Government does not have a Right to tax.
A: Really! So how does the Government have money?
C: With the printing press, of course. The Government can print for itself ten times as much money as it gives to each citizen.
A: Where I come from, printing money is discouraged.
C: Here, printing excess
money is forbidden. On the first of January, the government prints
exactly as much money is needed to
distribute to citizen. And 10 times as much for itself. Then it can
print no more. This way, they do not need to collect taxes and there is
no inflation. Two of the biggest problems just disappear.
A: Interesting. And what other Rights have you abolished?
C:
The Right of Inheritance. Every person must spend all their money
before they die. Any unspent money returns to the Government treasury.
A: I don't think rich people like that!
C: Not at the beginning. But in time they realize its fair.
